Alvaro Baena
Alvaro Baena is the co-founder and President of Golden Rose Canada Inc. Alvaro has more than 30 years experience in various areas of the flowers industry.
Before moving to Canada and starting Golden Rose, Alvaro worked at his family’s flower farm in Colombia where he had the opportunity to work in the growth and production of fresh flowers for export to various international markets. In addition, Alvaro has 4 years international experience as a Sales Manager for his family’s farms in Ecuador.
With an educational background in Business and Marketing, Alvaro brings a unique perspective to the discussions. As a grower, importer and distributor he has seen first-hand the dramatic changes that have and are taking place in the back-end of the flower industry. As an owner, he is constantly being challenged to offer more profitable solutions for his retail customers.
